What are Raffle Tickets?

Raffle tickets are essentially proof of purchase for a chance to win a prize. They're a fundamental part of a raffle, a fundraising method that relies on luck and excitement. Here's a breakdown:

Types of Raffle Tickets

Paper Tickets: The traditional form. These are printed and sold directly to participants. Digital Tickets: Increasingly common, these are generated and managed electronically. They can be tracked, managed, and redeemed online. Scratch-Off Tickets: Some raffles use scratch-off tickets that reveal a winning number or prize.

Key Information on a Raffle Ticket

A good raffle ticket should always include:
Raffle Name: Clearly identifies the event/organization running the raffle.
Prize(s) Being Offered: Detailed descriptions of the prizes.
Ticket Number: Unique identifier for each ticket. This is crucial for tracking.
Ticket Price: The cost of each ticket.
Date and Time of Draw: When the winner will be announced.
Contact Information: For the organizers.

Key considerations:
Registration: Most jurisdictions require organizers to register the raffle with the relevant authority (often a state’s attorney general’s office or gaming commission).
Prize Value Thresholds: Many places have limits on the value of prizes you can raffle without needing a full license.
Draw Supervision: The draw itself might need to be conducted by an independent third party to ensure fairness.
Sales Tax: Proceeds from raffle tickets are often subject to sales tax.
Prize Disclosure: You usually must publicly announce the prizes being offered.

How to use Raffle Ticket Drawing

Entering tickets

There are two options to enter tickets for drawing:
Manual Entry: Type in individual numbers or names. One entry will go on one line. Here you can also copy and paste a list of names or numbers.
Automatic Range Generation: Enter the lowest number in the desired range and the highest number in the same range. The system will automatically generate all ticket numbers within that range.

Viewing all tickets

Once the tickets are enter using either method. You can view the tickets in the bag by click on "View All Tickets." There is an option to "Hide Tickets" if you wish to not see them. Below the "Hide Tickets" button, it will say the number of tickets in the bag. And in the bag are the following tickets. If you are generating them, it will be a list of numbers. However, if you entered them manually, depending on what you entered, name or numbers will be listed below.

The number of tickets are also available right below the image of the bags with tickets inside it.

Drawing tickets

When ready, click on the green button "Draw Winner!" to draw a ticket. The tickets will be picked at random. The bag of tickets will shake for a bit, and then a ticket entry will show up under the "The winning ticket is..." within an image of a ticket.

List of Winners

The winning ticket entry will be listed under "Tickets Drawn". If the "Draw Winner!" is clicked multiple times, picking multiple winners, they will be listed in order of when they were picked.
